New Age Retailer Review (Spring, 2005)
The Yoga of Time Travel by Fred Allen Wolf

Physicist Dr. Fred Alan Wolf, winner of the National Book Award for Taking the Quantum Leap, is featured in the film What the Bleep Do We Know? In his 11 books, Wolf has presented scientific observations with spiritual ramifications in accessible language. In The Yoga of Time Travel, Wolf aims to build a bridge between the age-old concepts of subjective, or personal, time and what appears to be objective, or material, time. Borrowing from yogic teachings and using parables, Wolf helps readers grasp abstruse concepts, such as black holes and the curvature of space in time. The ability of the mind to move forward in time is at the center of his presentation. Wolf discusses the skill that enables a yogi to relate to time as it is explained by physics. He writes about quantum mechanics and how events can move seamlessly through time. An important concept in Wolf's writings is what he calls "possibility waves," which travel both forward and backward in time. This marvelous book will aid readers in gaining greater comprehension of parallel universes, wormholes, and transtemporal ideas shared by yogis and physicists. Wolf shows that the precepts of yogic meditation, time travel, and quantum processes are compatible, and he helps readers grasp the astonishing fluidity of the universe. Readers will appreciate the diligent notes and bibliography.

Shift: At the Frontiers of Consciousness Review (March-May, 2005)
The Yoga of Time Travel by Fred Alan Wolf

"The truly infinite," William Blake once penned, "is found when the doors of perception are cleansed." Fred Alan Wolf takes a look through these doors in The Yoga of Time Travel and shows us how our rutted ways of knowing and perceiving keep us from the fullest potential. This prolific writer, scientist, and lucid thinker takes us on a journey of infinite exploration by pointing out the capacity of our minds and bodies to transcend what we define as time and space.

Wolf points out that Indian teacher Sri Ramana Maharshi's explanation of this boundless space is "the mind that is vast, not the world. The knower is ever greater than the known, and the seer is greater than the seen." With discussions of probability curves, paradoxes, and quantum reality, this book is alive with the sacred and the mundane simultaneously. What makes this volume truly valuable is Wolf's ability to balance various scientific and spiritual paradigms while showing a way to shift our imprinted thoughts into a new, more powerful way of being. With this, the further reaches of our lives can become an expansion point outwards into selflessness and unity.
